Salary: $73,920 per month 
Entry Requirements: (a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree in Chinese Language, Education (majoring in Chinese Language) or Psychology, or equivalent;
(b) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent;
(c) Met the language proficiency requirement of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and Level 2 or above in English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [See note (i)], or equivalent;
(d) A total of 8 years' relevant post-degree teaching experience with at least 4 years of experiences in teaching Chinese Language subject at the secondary level;
(e) Experiences in teaching and/or providing support to students with special educational needs;
(f) Knowledge and skills in using information technology (IT) and multi-media for designing teaching resources; and
(g) Experience in developing differentiated teaching resources on helping secondary school students to develop reading and writing skills, or supporting secondary students with dyslexia preferred. 
Note: (i) For appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. 
Duties: 1. To conduct survey and school visits to understand service needs and identify effective school practices;
2. To collect, compile and produce resources materials on enhancing Tier-1 and Tier-2 support for students with dyslexia;
3. To collaborate with teachers to try out resource materials and support strategies in Tier-1 and Tier-2 settings;
4. To coordinate, plan and participate in the evaluation of the project;
5. To organize and deliver teacher training activities for dissemination of skills and knowledge; and
6. To perform any ad hoc duties as assigned. 
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year. 
Fringe Benefits (a) 14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave / paternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
