Salary: $66,075 per month 
Entry Requirements: Applicants should have –
(a) a bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
(b) attained “Level 3” or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) / Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [Note (1)];
(c) a minimum of 6 years of post-qualification full-time work experience, including at least 2 years of full-time work experience in publicity/promotion/managerial/executive positions. Working experience in the Government in managing/coordinating funding scheme/project management would be an advantage;
(d) excellent communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; knowledge of Putonghua is preferred;
(e) a good team player, able to work independently under a fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task is essential;
(f) good organisational, co-ordination and analytical skills, and project planning and management skills;
(g) adaptive, open-minded and with good interpersonal skills. Proactive in acquiring new skills, taking up new tasks and working with different stakeholders; and
(h) good command of computer knowledge including MS Office applications and Chinese word processing, experience in data analysis would be an advantage. 
Note: (1) ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Leve 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. Potential applicants may also apply if they do not meet the language proficiency requirements set out in (b) above but obtained “Level 2” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination, or equivalent. 
Duties: (a) To provide executive and administrative support to the office and the implementation of programmes of the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau.
(b) To assist in liaising with government departments, contractors and organisations on implementation of celebration and territory-wide activities.
(c) To assist in drawing up logistical plans relating to guest invitation and reception for major official events and celebration activities and follow up on the plans.
(d) To liaise with government departments/organisations on the assessment of applications for programmes, update registers, conduct statistics and evaluation of the effectiveness of various programmes.
(e) To draft and update the events calendar of celebration activities and follow up on uploading updated content to the website.
(f) To assist in preparing briefs and compiling reports and ad hoc returns.
(g) To perform other ad hoc duties as and when required.
(h) If necessary, will be required to work outside normal office hours including Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. 
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 13/14 months. The actual contract period will be determined by the Bureau according to operational needs. 
Fringe Benefits (a) In addition to statutory holidays, 12 days paid annual leave, maternity leave and sickness allowance will be granted to the candidates appointed. Details of which will be confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment.
(b) A gratuity may be granted at the end of the contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
