Part-time Teaching Assistant (Mathematics) (EDB/ITE/158/26)
Salary:
$111 per hour (Required to work not more than 16 hours per week)
Entry Requirements:
(a) A diploma from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent;
(b) With academic qualifications related to Mathematics, Science, Technology and/or Education preferred;
(c) Relevant working experience in project management preferred [See Note];
(d) A good command of both Chinese and English;
(e) Familiar with Chinese and English input methods and computer operations preferred, such as word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software;
(f) Be responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic;
(g) Able to work independently; and
(h) Candidates may be required to take a computer test on the day of selection interview.

Duties:
(a) To assist in providing general administrative and logistical support to teacher training courses including venue booking, processing enrollment, answering telephone enquiries, printing course materials, setting up equipment and reception counters, taking attendance, video-recording, processing evaluation forms, filing and cataloguing materials;
(b) To assist in the general administrative and logistical work of student activities, competitions and large-scale events;
(c) To assist in providing logistical support to school collaborative projects, including video-taking and video-editing, and related duties;
(d) To provide clerical and logistical support to the administration of school surveys and school visits, and development of learning and teaching resources for schools;
(e) To assist in other work related to training courses, and the promotion of Mathematics curriculum, e.g. cataloguing & management of reference books of the Section;
(f) To support the use of computer hardware, software and networking equipment;
(g) To provide other office support duties and handle related administrative work, e.g. logistic support for meetings, stock keeping and procurement;
(h) To assist in carrying out the day-to-day operation of the Section; and
(i) To perform any other duties as advised by the supervisor(s).
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
