Job Title: Assistant Manager (Women and Family Affairs) 
Salary: $33,405 per month 
Entry Requirements: Candidates should have-

(a) a bachelor degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (See Note 1);
(c) at least two years full-time post-qualification working experience in general administrative work or subsidy schemes/project management. Relevant work experience in the Government or public bodies is an advantage;
(d) good command of written Chinese and English, fluent Cantonese and English with basic knowledge of Putonghua; and
(e) good command of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing. 
Note: (1) “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.

Duties: (a) To assist in the planning and implementation of funding schemes/initiatives under the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, including drawing up materials like application forms and guidelines, arranging briefings, vetting application materials and assessing proposals, preparing accounting and progress reports, managing computer database, monitoring the performance of the funded organisations/contractors, handling and following up scheme/initiative-related enquiries and complaints, etc.;
(b) To assist in organising activities, including conducting procurement exercises, co-ordinating with Government departments, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and/or other stakeholders in service delivery, supervising the performance of contractors, compiling the list of guests/participants, drawing up implementation details, etc.;
(c) To provide secretariat support to the committees/working groups/task forces, including preparing meeting papers, drafting reports and minutes, and following up on views and proposals, etc.;
(d) To assist in developing and managing website(s), including conducting procurement exercises, supervising the performance of contractors, monitoring the development of computer system and database, co-ordinating the inputs from different Government departments and related organisations;
(e) To assist in co-ordinating publicity campaigns and events, arranging the production of video clips and other promotional materials, managing social media platforms, etc.;
(f) To perform general office administrative duties; and
(g) To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.

Note: Hours and places of work may change subject to operational needs. May be required to work outside working hours and outdoors occasionally. 
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of 24 months. 
Fringe Benefits (a) A gratuity may be granted at the end of the contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
(b) In addition to statutory holidays, 12 days paid annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, and sickness allowance will be granted to the appointee. Details of which will be confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment. 
General Notes: (a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(f) It is the Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
