$101,775 per month
Entry Requirements:
Candidates should have:-
(a) minimum ten years of relevant full-time work experience in advanced manufacturing and/or new/green energy technology sector, preferably in managerial role;
(b) previous work experience in investment promotion, account management, business development, marketing, project management in the advanced manufacturing and/or new/green energy technology or public sectors would be an advantage;
(c) a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; more advanced degree(s) and/or professional qualification(s) would be an advantage;
(d) strong knowledge of and experience in the local and global advanced manufacturing and/or new/green energy technology sector;
(e) extensive network in the advanced manufacturing and/or new/green energy technology ecosystem;
(f) fluent in spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua with strong writing skills in English and Chinese; and
(g) able to work under pressure and have a strong sense of responsibility as well as ability to work independently.
Duties:
The Chief Manager (Advanced Manufacturing and New Energy Technology) is mainly responsible for –
(a) Leading the Advanced Manufacturing and New Energy Technology Team to source high-potential target companies in the advanced manufacturing and new energy technology sector;
(b) Assisting the Executive Director to implement and follow through tailor-made packages of incentives offered to strategic enterprises;
(c) Collaborating with the Dedicated Teams for Attracting Businesses and Talents in Mainland and overseas, international and local industry partners, government bodies and key stakeholders to generate a strong pipeline of strategic companies in the advanced manufacturing and new energy technology sector;
(d) Speaking in business events locally and globally and promote the unique advantages and opportunities of Hong Kong’s advanced manufacturing and new energy technology sector;
(e) Ensuring the Team provides quality and customised support services for prospective and aftercare companies in the advanced manufacturing and new energy technology sector;
(f) Managing the performance of the Team for target achievement as well as timely inputs to upper echelon;
(g) Supporting the directorate of Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises on duties and assignments as and when needed; and
(h) Conducting duty visits to the Mainland and overseas countries.
Terms of Appointment:
The successful candidate will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 18 months or up to 31 March 2027, whichever is earlier.
Fringe Benefits
A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
The benefits in respect of rest days, statutory holidays, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave or paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance and confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment.
General Notes:
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
